Haha >.< I don't see how he could find out unless you sent it to him, so I think you're safe.

This is the internet. Things that you wish to remind hidden have a tendency to creep up

Thank you =D Well, apart from the special, heavy duty oven one can easily do this at home... Or do it as I did, enrol to a art school just to get access to fancy equipment...

My pleasure. And I can fully appreciate just how hard the human face is to mold...in my art class, we had to do this project making a 3-D copy of King Tut's death mask. I got so frustrated with mine that I spent literally hours doodling in the area around his clavicle instead of shaping lips.

Oh yes. The eyes are the hardest part for me. I usually have to redo them at least three times (well, I say usually). Procrastinating is awesome though.

It is. (In the end, Tut had no ears or mouth. I tried to make up some crap about symbolism of the silence beyond the grave, but I still got points docked.)

aaw, that's unfair. If you wrap it up in nice enough words then then really shouldn't dock points.

Absolutely fascinating! I knew nothing about the process you show here and I (admit) I have never cared much for sculpture, but your tutorial is amazing and the end result is gorgeous.
